In the early 1960s, the Kentucky Colonels (aka Country Boys) were taken under the wing of the "King of the Strings" Joe Maphis and his singing partner, wife, Rose Lee. One of their first recordings before the legendary 1964 "Appalachian Swing!", they joined Joe and Rose Lee's on their first studio album. ROSE LEE & JOE MAPHIS WITH THE KENTUCKY COLONELS FEATURING CLARENCE WHITE.

For the first time ever on compact disc anywhere, this album, originally released on October 1962, now with bonus tracks is now exclusively offered by Sierra Records Mail Order

This enhanced CD release is even more special with an unbelievable video clip of Joe, with the Kentucky Colonels from the May 29,1962 network television broadcast appearance on the "Jerry Lewis Show"! Not seen since it aired live on ABC TV, seeing the gang in glorious 'black and white' joined by the late Bonnie Owens (former Mrs. Buck Owens, Mrs. Merle Haggard) is an incredible treat. Like the Sierra Records' previous Skip Battin "Topanga Skyline" Enhanced CD with it's video clip, this special video clip is viewable on either a PC or MAC computer only (it is not a DVD).
