Description:

Gene Parsons of the Byrds recorded and released his first solo album, "Kindling" for Warner Bros. Records in 1973. It received praise from virtually every rock and audiophile critic. That classic album was combined with Gene's finest moments with the Byrds and the mid 70s Flying Burrito Bros. on the extended 1994 Sierra CD entitled "The Kindling Collection." Highlighted by the some of the last and finest studio performances of the late, great Clarence White on all but four tracks, these well crafted, engaging recordings feature guest appearances by Ralph Stanley and and the late Vassar Clements.

Thanks unfortunately to the closing of Tower Records, a very limit supply of this CD is available again for a very limited time while the supply last.

Re-mastered by audio wizard Bob Katz, it is a true audiophile CD that has been unavailable for more than ten years. Copies have sold on the collectors market for a three digit price along with a short lived, now out of print Japanese issue of just the Warner Bros. "Kindling" album. Sixty-five minutes in length, it includes detailed recording information and Gene's own narratives of all 22 songs.
